Oskarshamn is home to Scania’s European truck cab production. We are currently experiencing a high level of pressure. We are preparing for the future with a new Body Shop, a new Priming Paint Shop, and refurbished Assembly Workshop with new logistics areas, and a new Logistics Centre.
Each workshop has a group of Production Engineers working with Production Managers, suppliers, the quality organisation, maintenance and processing.
As a Production Engineer, you will work with one area in production, both in terms of day-to-day work and future projects. You will support production’s ongoing efforts to improve the operation’s pace, quality and processes. You will work to optimise the business with regard to safety, the environment, ergonomics and production efficiency.
Together, we will work in accordance with Scania’s lean-based production system, with a focus on continuous improvements. Production Engineering plays an active role in the change work that is ongoing at our various workshops, such as the new Body Shop and the refurbishment of the Assembly Workshop.
As a person, you will enjoy working at a fast pace, where you will be the cohesive link. You will be outgoing, motivating and ambitious, with good analytical skills. You will be communicative and enjoy taking on a responsible role. As part of the work of Production Engineer, you will have a large network of contacts, and will therefore find it easy to cooperate with others.
We are looking for someone with a BSc or MSc in Engineering, preferably with a focus on production engineering. Previous experience of production and/or project management would be an advantage. It is important that you feel comfortable leading a working group/project. You have a good command of written and spoken English.
We offer work with excellent opportunities for development in a secure and international company.
Scania’s core values define our culture: Customer first, Respect for the individual and Quality. In day-to-day work, this means an inspiring workplace, where the customers, employees and product each have a place, and where we feel it is important to enjoy your work.
