Kamanjab is situated in the Kunene region in the beautiful country of Namibia. Namibia has experienced strong development over the past years and provides many opportunities.
The village of Kamanjab is popular as a stopover but also for short and long stays. It is centrally located in a scenic area, close to nature reserves and national parks. Etosha is 68 km away and you can spot the most popular wild animals in this large and popular national nature and wildlife park. Damaraland is a unique area, where you can admire rare desert elephants, black rhino, lions, giraffe, and baboons in the wild.
On well-maintained tarmacked roads, the capital Windhoek is within comfortable reach. The cities Opuwo, Outjo and Otjiwarongo are nearer, and have pretty much anything you may need. There are suppliers who will collect and deliver goods, parcels, and post.
The most common languages are English, German, and Afrikaans, which can be understood reasonably well by Dutch-speakers.

Local area:
Kamanjab is a village with just over 8,000 inhabitants, and has a range of facilities and commercial activities. There is a sizeable Spar supermarket, several small shops, bakery, garage, 2 petrol stations, ATMs, town hall, court, post office, police station, health centre, and a local primary school.
Every village and town in the area has its own range of basic facilities. Be surprised by the knowledge and expertise of the local businesses. The capital Windhoek with its international Airport is a vibrant city with a rich cultural history, many shops, restaurants, and several shopping centres. Windhoek has everything an entrepreneur needs, including a comprehensive range of wholesalers for example. There are also several modern private clinics, and good healthcare is easy to organise. A new surfaced road from Kamanjab to the coastal town of Hentesbay is currently under construction and may bring even more visitors to Oppi-Koppi.
