A boom of renewable-powered industries has given rise to what has been dubbed as the “Green revolution in the north.”

This movement sees an investment of 100 to 150 billion euro and a total of 100 000 new jobs will be created to support the transformation in the coming decade.

Our home is where our mines are; above the arctic circle in northern Sweden, but we also have operations in the Netherlands, UK, USA, Norway and Germany. LKAB is EU’s biggest producer of iron ore. Additionally, early 2023, LKAB presented that Europe’s biggest deposit of rare earth elements critical for the green transition.

We are leading the transformation towards a sustainable future, through decarbonising the process of ironmaking. In addition to carbon-free iron, we will be able to supply Europe with the critical minerals needed for electric engines and phosphorus for our food production.
