The Fehmarn Belt fixed link is creating a wide range of job opportunities — right now during the construction phase and in the years to come. Many of the current and upcoming openings are in the marine sector, as the tunnel elements need to be transported and positioned at sea. There are also major development plans for the area once the tunnel is completed. The large construction harbour in Rødbyhavn is expected to become the foundation for a new industrial zone that will generate up to 10,000 new jobs.
