Närhälsan is the largest primary care provider in the Nordic region and the second largest administration in the Västra Götaland region with around 5,500 employees. We currently have 105 health centers, 60 rehab clinics, 12 emergency centers, 2 digiphysical health centers and 1 local emergency department, spread across Västra Götaland's 49 different municipalities Primary health care is part of the non-institutional care with no boundaries in terms of diseases, age or patient groups. Patients turn to primary care for basic medical treatment, care, preventive care and rehabilitation that don’t require the hospitals' medical and technical resources and specific skills.

Your tasks are to assess and treat patients of all ages. Common conditions among patients you meet as a physiotherapist are: problems and injuries from the entire musculoskeletal system, pain, neurological disabilities, sports and exercise injuries and mental illness. The work also includes prescribing assistive devices. Together with the patient, a personal plan for rehabilitation is made. The work is located at the clinic, digitally and by visiting them at home. Some work is possible to do remotely. The treatment of the patient takes place both individually and in different groups. The work involves close collaboration with other professions, both at the own clinic and with other partners, such as the local authority or the hospital. You and your colleagues are together with the manager responsible for the development of the clinic in an ongoing work of improvement.
You are licenced as physiotherapist. We are looking for someone who is responsive, has good communication skills and can identify the unique needs of individuals as you meet many different people every day. You can plan your work in an efficient and organized way. As the workload varies and unforeseen events can occur, we see that you are flexible and independent. When you have received your training in another EEA member state you need formal recognition of your professional qualifications. In order to receive a Swedish licence as physiotherapist you must also show proof of proficiency in the Swedish language.
